Analysis of Correction Data Performance and Positioning Accuracy of the Galileo High Accuracy Service

Galileo high accuracy service (HAS), which began its initial service in January 2023, provides satellite orbit and clock corrections for GPS and Galileo satellites via the Galileo E6-B signal and internet-based NTRIP. This enables the real-time implementation of precise point positioning (PPP). In this study, the performance of the correction data provided by the HAS was analyzed by comparing it with the international GNSS service (IGS) final products. Because the HAS, currently in its initial service phase, relies on a limited number of ground monitoring stations, positioning performance may degrade depending on the user's location. To investigate this spatial dependency, PPP was performed by applying HAS corrections to GPS observation data collected from multiple IGS monitoring stations distributed globally. Through this, the variations in positioning accuracy according to user locations were analyzed. Keywords: GPS, Galileo HAS, GNSS augmentation, GNSS corrections
