A Study on Conversion Algorithm from P2-C1 DCB to P2-P1 DCB Using Basic GNSS RINEX Information

This study proposes a new algorithm which converts the P2-C1 Differential Code Bias (DCB) to the P2-P1 DCB using basic Receiver INdependent Exchange (RINEX) information. DCBs arise due to different frequency-dependent hardware paths and code/software configurations. The most widely used dual frequency receivers usually provide C1 and P2 code measurements. However, the most frequently referenced DCB is the P2-P1 DCB. For this reason, the P2-C1 DCBs obtained from widely available measurements need to be converted to the P2-P1 DCBs by applying an extra algorithm to additional measurements. The proposed algorithm requires a set of receivers providing both P1 (C1W) and C1 (C1C) measurements from all the satellites in the GNSS constellation of interest.
