Performance Analysis of Network RTK Correction Services for High-Precision GNSS Positioning

Network real-time kinematic (NRTK) overcomes the distance-dependent error limitations of single-baseline RTK to enable centimeter-level positioning over long baselines. Various correction services support this with fundamental differences in their generation principles. Specifically, RTS1 provides virtual reference station (VRS) corrections using Trimble Pivot. RTS2 offers VRS, Flächen Korrektur parameter (FKP), and state space representation (SSR) corrections based on GEO++ GNSMART2. Furthermore, RTS3 provides gridded-VRS (GVRS), which generates VRS at 20 km grid intervals and delivers observation space representation (OSR) corrections based on state space representation (SSR) data from GNSMART2. This study comprehensively evaluates these services using actual observation data. Nationwide continuously operating reference stations (CORS) providing radio technical commission for maritime services (RTCM) data were utilized as monitoring stations. By analyzing different server types, correction techniques, and satellite constellations, key quantitative indicators including positioning accuracy and ambiguity resolution (AR) ratio were derived to evaluate positioning performance.
