Recently, high-speed train systems have been developed in several countries, such as Italy, France, Japan and China. In the development of such systems, a navigation system with high position accuracy is necessary for a track inspection car to detect defective tracks. In this paper, a highly accurate train navigation system based on multisensor information is proposed. The Federated Kalman filter is used for integrating sensors such as INS, Tachometer, DGPS, and RFID. The performance of the proposed train navigation system is evaluated by simulations with different RFID update intervals.
