User Interface Implementation for the Signal Generation Subsystem of the GK-3 SBAS Ground Verification System

The Geostationary Korea Multi-Purpose Satellite-3 (GK-3), scheduled for launch in 2027, carries multiple payloads including broadband communication, Satellite-Based Augmentation System (SBAS), and
data
collection. The SBAS payload is intended to succeed Malaysia’s MEASAT-3d in supporting the Korea Augmentation Satellite System (KASS) and to serve as a platform for testing advanced algorithms aimed
at
enhancing SBAS service performance. To ensure its functionality and reliability before launch, a ground verification system has been developed, comprising a Radio-Frequency (RF) generation unit and a
signal generation unit. This paper presents the implementation of the signal generation system software, with emphasis on the user interface (UI) design connecting NovAtel’s GUS Signal Generator and G-
III
receiver.
