In this paper, we performed the safety analysis of the monitoring control equipment that constitutes the satellite communication station in the development of the satellite communication station in the APV-I SBAS satellite communication system development project. The satellite communications station shall transmit the correction information to the satellite stably and continuously in order to provide wide area correction service. The satellite communication station consists of SBAS satellite signal generator and RF system. In this paper, we assign qualitative and systematic reference lists, M&C failure types, impacts on the system and their associated severity ratings, and identify single point failure types that cause system failures for stability analysis of M&C equipment, a component of the RF system using the FMEA method. To accomplish this, we classified the functions of the M&C, the types of failures according to the M&C functions. Then we defined the potential failures of each identified failure types, and the causes and effects of the failures. We identify the safety severity of potential failures and suggest ways of mitigate them, and newly assigned impact identification and severity after mitigation. As a result of FMEA, the severity of feared events was reduced by complementing the M&C design.
