Chul-Hee Choi*, Wan-Jin Ko, Myeong-Sook Jeong, Joong-Won Bae, Hyang-Sig Jun, Seo-Won Kim

The GBAS is the system which the ICAO determines as the international standard. DGPS technology and processing the received signal from the global positioning system reference station receiver, the information is transmitted with the airplane. The airplane uses the correction information of the received GPS signal and integrity information and provides the precision access service more than the CAT-I level. GBAS system is comprised of the ground system and onboard system. The ground system is comprised of 4 GPS Reference Receiver, Antennas and ground facility. The onboard system is comprised of multi-mode receiver, VDB receiver antenna and GPS antenna. The approval activity is needed for the authorized (SDA, FA, OA) operation of GBAS system. In this paper, we analyze about the activity (Installation, Operation, Spectrum Management, Maintenance, Training, Safety Management etc.) in order to check the operation availability for the facility approval of GBAS ground system.
