Estimation of Inter-Channel Bias in GPS/GLONASS Combined RTK Positioning
Hee Sung Kim, Je Young Lee, Kwang Ho Choi, Hyung Keun Lee*

Though combined GPS/GLONASS constellations can dramatically increase the number of visible satellite, additional difficulties arise since both constellations are based on different principles and reference systems for frequency, time, and positioning. Especially, GLONASS causes Inter-Channel Bias (ICB) since it relies on several different frequency bands to implement the Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) principle. To achieve sub-decimeter accuracy in GPS/GLONASS real-time kinematic (RTK) positioning, ICBs can cause serious degradation of positioning accuracy and prevent correct integer ambiguity resolution. This paper proposes a novel method to mitigate the ICB effects on integer ambiguity resolution (AR) in GPS/GLONASS RTK.
