This paper proposes a DOA estimation method combining MUSIC and Root-MUSIC algorithm. First, a coarse DOA is estimated by using Root-MUSIC algorithm. Secondly, the precise DOA is estimated by using MUSIC algorithm in the limited search range determined from the coarse DOA result. This paper analyzes the accuracy and the resolution of the proposed DOA estimation method using a software simulation platform.
