Design and Manufacture of GPS Interference Monitoring System

As GPS could provide the accurate position information, the usage of GPS based services recently continues to increase in our daily lives such as the car navigation and the smart phone as well as the national infrastructure network such as the mobile telecommunication network, the smart grid, and the financial network. However, GPS signals are very weak and sensitive to GPS interference. Accordingly, the GPS interference monitoring system was being developed to prevent and reduce the damage by GPS interference. By means of the project of the utilization technologies and monitoring technologies for multiple navigation frequencies, ETRI is developing the GPS interference monitoring system which provides the interference detection, the interference power measurement and the interference shape. This paper presents the design and the manufacture of the GPS interference monitoring system and shows the test results.
